The Russian Chronicles. Extremely accessible and friendly site with a specialised focus. A photojournalist accompanies a journalist on a 5,000 mile trek through remote Russia in 1995. Good site design means you can catch up anywhere en route, skip the diary and just meet the people, get an edited version or just look at maps! Not for everyone, but the link to its parent photojournalism site (Focal Point),while under developed, might interest others.
