Travelocity. A (very) US based site which provides excellent flight search and deal facilities. Fare-watcher e-mail service and Flight Paging service which sends "important flight info to your alphanumeric pager"!! Now, where did I put my pager?? You can even send flowers from this site!! Easy to use and comprehensive in what it does, but unless you"re originating from the US don"t expect any price favours. |

American Express Travel. A fine example of a one-stop shop, this pleasant surprise of a site uses hi-tech features but in an unintimidating and intuitive manner. Certain aspects are aimed at US residents only, such as driving instructions, but that should not dissuade the rest of you. If it's not on the site, there is a link to it. Check it out. |

being curiously under-informative in parts (look up Africa under 'guides'),
other areas of this Microsoft Network site are a pleasant surprise
(check out the chatrooms). Along the same lines as Preview Travel
(even resembles its look), it features the usual suspects of car hire,
hotel reservations, airline reservations, US -only flight check. A
limited International version of the US based site is available. Unfortunately,
creating an account is necessary for the 'travel agent' section. |
